The Museum of Sacred Art Foundation (MOSA) and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR)* have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote Indian Art across seven European countries from 2026 to 2028. The agreement was formalized on December 27, 2025, at the newly renovated Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center in Paris.
The MOU was signed by Mahaprabhu Dasa, Director of MOSA, and K. Nandini Singla, Director General of the ICCR under India’s Ministry of External Affairs. The signing ceremony was witnessed by His Excellency Mr. Sanjeev Singla, Ambassador of India to France, underscoring the cultural and diplomatic significance of the partnership.

Reflecting on the importance of the agreement, Mahaprabhu Dasa said, “This is a very important step in the development of MOSA, to be able to have the support of the Indian government to promote Indian art throughout Europe. We hope to bring the message of India’s spiritual heritage through the visual arts.”
This three-year pilot project will span the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, and Hungary. Under the agreement, MOSA commits to organizing at least five exhibitions per year across museums and cultural centers in these countries. ICCR will support the initiative with a budget to cover exhibition-related costs, including logistics and programming.
MOSA brings to the collaboration a substantial portfolio of Indian art exhibitions, many of which emphasize spiritual themes and include works by ISKCON artists. In total, MOSA manages 19 adaptable exhibitions suitable for venues of varying sizes. Among its flagship collections is Forms of Devotion, featuring more than 500 artworks by 150 artists and showcasing the diversity and depth of devotional expression in Indian sacred art.
In addition to its international outreach, MOSA operates two galleries at ISKCON Radhadesh in Belgium, where it hosts an annual ISKCON art exhibition each January and an Indian art exhibition each May, with occasional variations. The new MOU significantly expands MOSA’s European presence, creating a sustained platform for sharing India’s spiritual and artistic heritage with wider audiences.
*The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of External Affairs of India, dedicated to promoting Indian culture worldwide. Through its programs, ICCR presents Indian music, dance, cinema, theatre, and visual arts in countries across the globe. In several locations, ICCR operates its own cultural centers, including the newly renovated Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center in Paris, located near Les Invalides in one of the city’s most prestigious districts.
